Short term changes in behavior potential, such as fatigue, do not constitute learning. Some long-term changes in behavior potential result from aging and development, rather than learning.
Harnessing learning as process is becoming very important to large scale innovation management. An individual's personal purpose is key to that person applying learning to new behavior in their work or their life. As they are exposed to new information, their willingness to apply their newfound knowledge is key to creating sustained value. Organizational change results from behavior potential being realized.

Comprehension, Coherence and Strategies in Hypertext and Linear Text - By Peter W. Foltz. The features in hypertext supply flexibility to the reader when compared to reading linear text such as books. The concept of using the associative paths in hypertext to retrieve and read information has caused great excitement.
Network Learning Environments and Hypertext - By Michael J. Jacobson and James A. Levinas. Researchers and educators begin to consider the more widespread utilization of network-mediated resources, the very richness of these resources imposes special logistical and cognitive demands on the user that may unfortunately mitigate the learning promise of educational network use.
