Trinity College, Carmarthen is a higher education college in Carmarthen, West Wales. Established in 1848, Trinity is the second oldest higher education institution in Wales (After the University of Wales, Lampeter - with whom Trinity is now in a 'Strategic Alliance' ), although it is simultaneously one of the youngest member colleges of the University of Wales.
The college was recently accredited to the University of Wales and was given official University status in 2005: it is therefore now known as University of Wales - Trinity College, Carmarthen.
The college is based on one campus on the outskirts of Wales' oldest town, and is home to around 3,000 students each year, with first, second and third year accommodation available on a catered or self catered basis. The campus also boasts a seated theatre, a multi-purpose gym, two libraries, a swimming pool, and a bar and club.
